Ingredients
1Organic Apple
2tablespoonAll Purpose Flour
1tablespoonWarm Water
Instructions
Grate the skin of an organic apple, and add it to a jar (about 2 tbsp). Add in all purpose flour and warm water. Give that all a good mix!
Close the lid of your jar loosely and place in a warm place for 4 days.
4 days later, feed your starter with 2 tablespoon flour and 1 tablespoon warm water. Mix well and place in a warm place again for 1 day.
The next day, your sourdough starter should be ready!
Notes
To check for readiness: Your starter should have bubbles on the top and pass the flour test (place a spoonful of your starter on some water, if it floats it’s ready!)
Feeding your starter: you can keep just 2 tablespoon or less of your starter in the jar at a time, and store in the fridge. When you want to bake, take it out of the fridge, feed with 1 tablespoon warm water and 2 tablespoon flour and allow to rise to peak!
