Ingredients
  

  • 5 Cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 Tsp Salt
  • 1 ½ Tbsp Instant Yeast
  • 1 Tbsp Sugar
  • 2 ¼ Cups Warm Water
  • 1 Egg

Optional Toppings

  • Sesame Seeds
  • Cinnamon Sugar
  • Cheese

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, combine AP flour, salt, instant yeast and sugar. Add in 2 warm water, and mix until a shaggy dough forms.
  • Transfer to a floured flat surface and knead for 5-7 minutes until a soft and smooth dough forms. Cut your dough into 12 pieces for a dozen bagels.
  • Bunch each piece of dough into a ball by flattening the piece, then pulling all the sides into the middle and smoothing into a ball. Poke a hole in the middle of each dough ball and pull to create a bagel shape.
  • Cover and allow to rise for 30 min. Once risen, place a pot of boiling water on the store and boil each bagel for about 1-2 min on each side.
  • Transfer to a parchment lined baking sheet, brush with egg wash then add any desired toppings.
